Forms

Our company is fairly new to ServiceTitan and was wondering how everyone else uses forms? Do your technicians fill them out for every job?

We use so many forms and love them!  AC and Furnace tune up forms, safety forms, pre/post install forms.  Take a look in Titan Exchange for some ready made forms if you are not sure where to begin with them.  Also, @BCN has a video on parts request forms if I recall correctly.

Hello,

We have several different types of forms and they are all used differently.

  • We are not currently using inventory in service titan (we are working on setting it up now), so we have our service technicians submit a material request form for any jobs that are too big to be performed at the initial visit. We have an alert set up for this form to send to our shop team and their admin. We also have one set up as a truck stock form. Again, once we implement Service Titan inventory, this will go away. This form auto-populates the customer information, technician information and has specific questions that our shop team needs answered in order to bring in the correct material, there is also a place for pictures to be attached.
  • We also use forms for our annual plumbing inspection, for each fixture that is inspected and each area of the home is listed on the form there is a conditions section (we use red, yellow, green), a notes section where the technician can notate what they found and what they recommend, and a pictures section. It has a space at the bottom of the form for the customer to sign at the end of the inspection and then auto sends to the customer upon completion. The customers love it, and we also have that history saved in the customers profile.
  • We also created lead request forms. We have several departments within the company who work together, and when we find work that another branch of our company can complete, we send a lead request form to that admin so they can reach out to the customer to get an appointment set up. (all with the customers permission of course).

It's worked out pretty well for us so far. We're always finding new things to put in our forms.

I hope this helps!

Hello,

Some forms are for every job, but some are not. We use triggers for the jobs we want to make sure it gets filled out before they can close the job. Hopes this helps.
